Every year a little bit different but always with the same fundamental elements: great food, tasty drinks, grooving music, forward-looking sustainable enterprises, free "green" stuff, and the opportunity to see sustainable design in action. Oh, and lots of fun! This year the Museum of Contemporary Art plays host to Foresight's annual Sustainable Convergence '06 in conjunction with two engaging sustainability-themed design exhibits there. Several hundred people are expected, don't be left out!

What
Two great design exhibits: Massive Change and Sustainable Architecture in Chicago: Works in Progress , music, free magazines, food, and drinks (alcoholic and non). If that wasn't enough, the event also incorporates the Chicago Sustainable Enterprise Fair! Come see cool design, meet other sustainability-minded people, learn about a range of sustainability-oriented companies and have a really good time!
Oh, did we mention the free raffle?
Who
Sustainable Convergence '06 is a community-wide celebration. Attendees will include students, government officials, non-profit organization staff members, designers of all sorts, urban planners, and *lots* of others interested in a wide-variety of sustainabilty issues.

So the regular price is $40, but a the "Friend of Foresight" is $75? Assume that was a typo but if not, glad I'm not in the inner circle! :)

Hi Ray-You're right, interesting tiering of pricing. On Foresights page they define the tiers as follows:
Friend of Foresight: Support Foresight in its effort to mainstream sustainability and to create more sustainable solutions for Chicago! By registering at this higher rate, you assist us in our work and in keeping our events as affordable as possible. Thanks!
Referral Discounted Registration: All we ask in exchange for the discounted admission price is your pledge to invite 5 (or more) of your friends and colleagues to join you at the event. As an incentive, they may register at the same time-sensitive rate as well.
Responding to an Invitation: If you are responding to someone's invitation, choose "Referral Discount," register at the appropriate rate and send us a quick email letting us know to whose invitation you are responding (converge06@foresightdesign.org).
Group Discount: is available for parties of 5 or more registering together. Contact Breanne Heath for additional information (please include your phone number so we may call you back): breanne@foresightdesign.org
I hadn't looked closely before, it would be interesting to know also how effective the group invitation/referral program as a registration incentive is for them. Thanks Ray!
