The consumer market has come to love the miniaturization process. A Palm Pilot purchased today has more computing power than personal computers had 20-25 years ago. This innovation boom has come out of nanotechnology, a realm of science that deals with objects that are smaller than 100 nanometers in their largest dimension.
Scientists at the forefront of nano-related research will discuss the fundamentals of this small but important size regime, including its impacts on emerging technologies, and its future application in all aspects of our lives. Speakers:
