Alzheimer’s Association’s Chicago Memory Walk on September 16

Join us in taking steps to end Alzheimer’s!

Come walk with us, along with your friends, family, and colleagues in the Alzheimer’s Association’s Chicago Memory Walk on Sunday, September 16, to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease.

Memory Walk is the Alzheimer’s Association’s national fundraiser for programs and services to help the 210,000 Illinois residents with Alzheimer’s, plus their families and caregivers. This year the Chicago Memory Walk goal is to raise more than $1 million!

The Chicago Memory Walk steps off along Lake Michigan at Montrose Avenue, just east of Lake Shore Drive. Check-in starts at 8 a.m. and the walk starts at 10 a.m.

Memory Walk festivities include: entertainment (live band), face-painting for kids (and kids at heart) and a t-shirt design contest. We also serve breakfast snacks and post-walk refreshments. The route is wheelchair and stroller-accessible.

Register today for the Chicago Memory Walk and our other Memory Walks this fall. Visit www.alz.org/illinois or call (847) 933-2413 to register and get more information on Memory Walk, forming your Memory Walk team, Alzheimer’s disease and ways you can help someone living with the disease.

The Alzheimer’s Association is the world leader in Alzheimer research and support, and is the first and largest voluntary health organization dedicated to finding prevention methods, treatments and an eventual cure. The Greater Illinois Chapter serves 68 counties in Illinois with offices in Bloomington, Carterville, Chicago, Joliet, Kankakee, Rockford, Skokie and Springfield.
