Rolling Stones @ Stans Donuts and Navy Pier

The Rolling Stones exhibit hits  Chicago   APRIL 15th!    and  features over 500 Stones’ items with 50 years of Stones fashion, 190 original artworks, vintage instruments, interactive sound mixing desks and recording studio, a screening cinema with exclusive content, all culminating in a 3D concert finale. The Rolling Stones critically acclaimed exhibit has now closed in NYC and will open at Chicago’s Navy Pier.
Exhibitionism tells the story of the most influential rock ‘n’ roll band in the world, allowing visitors to experience their incredible journey through this immersive exhibit, from their early days living together in a tiny flat, to headlining the biggest stages in the world.

the organizers of Rolling Stones Exhibitionism are collaborating with Stan’s Donuts & Coffee on a lip-smacking limited edition doughnut celebrating the band.

The Rolling Stones doughnut looks like a piece of art, featuring a sugary facsimile of the band’s iconic Hot Lips logo, air-brushed on a Bismark doughnut filled with raspberry jam and finished with a vanilla glaze. Stan’s will limit sales to one doughnut per customer and they’ll be available from Monday through April 30 as daily supplies last at all Stan’s locations (yes, including the Streeterville spot near Navy Pier). They’ll cost $4.39 each.

$20 Cooking Class with Chef Tong

If you like to cook or like to try new things, this is a FUN evening! We have been to several of these. You buy a bottle of wine from downstairs and enjoy a 2 hours cooking class and tasting from the wonderful Chef Tong! JOIN US!

Chef Chris returns to Whole Foods Market to present some delicious dishes with a tropical flair. Chef Chris will provide tips on shopping for the finest ingredients. And, everyone gets a taste.

Chef Tong’s menu features:
-Brazilian Coconut Soup with Shrimp and Cilantro
-Grilled Tuna served with Avocado-Jicama Salad, Mango Chipolte
-Passion Fruit Mousse

The cooking class is on the mezzanine level in the on-site cooking classroom at the Whole Foods Market in Lincoln Park, 1550 N. Kingsbury, Chicago. It will be held on Tuesday, April 25 from 7pm-9pm. The cost is $25.00. (BYOB allowed).

Cooking event for People with Cancer March 21

The popular appearances of Chef Christopher Tong of the upscale private gourmet dining service, My Private Chef, continue in March with some wonderful menu ideas emphasizing healthy eating so essential for Gilda’s Club members and their families. The meals in this cooking series are designed to inspire people living with cancer to eat well, serve beautiful food and stay healthy.

This healthy cooking demonstration is on Tuesday, March 21 at 6pm at Gilda’s Club Chicago. The club is located at 537 North Wells Street, Chicago.

Chef Christopher Tong, of the upscale Chicago-based private gourmet dining service, My Private Chef, returns to Bloomingdale’s to present a winter soup cooking demonstration.

Chef Tong will shake off the winter blues with some favorite hot soup creations that will delight your family and friends.

It’s a great way to face Chicago in February.

Chef will serve some of his favorite bowls of comfort and a special dessert:

  • Boston Clam Chowder
  • Tunisian Tomato Soup with chickpeas, lentils, Greek yogurt and mint
  • The “Elvis”-Caramelized Bananas, Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream, maple-glazed Applewood bacon

Chef Tong will give tips on ingredients and serving. And, everyone gets to have a taste!
